Packages
Regardless of whether you want to install Open Cluster Scheduler (OCS) or Gridware Cluster Scheduler (GCS), you will need the following packages for a complete product installation. Optional parts are labeled accordingly.
Required Packages
- At least one binary package is required - Binary packages contain applications and libraries for a specific platform/architecture.
- Common package - Scripts, configuration files and other parts that are platform/architecture independent.
- Documentation package - Man pages and manuals [optional]
Platforms and Architecture
- Linux AMD64 (lx-amd64) - Distribution-independent packages for the latest Linux-based operating systems running on 64-bit Intel/AMD-based CPUs. Tested on SUSE Tumbleweed/Leap, Rocky/Alma/CentOS 8/9 and Ubuntu 2022/2024.
- Linux ARM64 (lx-arm64) - Distribution-independent packages for the latest Linux-based operating systems running on 64-bit ARM-based CPUs. Tested on CentOS 8, and Ubuntu 2024.
- Linux ARM32 (lx-armhf) - Distribution-independent packages for Linux-based operating systems running on 32-bit ARM-based CPUs with hardware floating point support. Tested on Ubuntu 2022 and Raspian 11.
- Linux PPC64LE (lx-ppc64le) - Distribution-independent packages for the latest Linux-based operating system running on 64-bit PPC64LE CPUs. Have been tested on Ubuntu 2022.
- Linux RiscV64 (lx-riscv64) - Distribution independent packages for 64bit-RiscV-based CPUs. Tested on SUSE Tumbleweed.
- Solaris 11 AMD64 (sol-amd64) - Package for the Solaris operating system.
- Darwin ARM64 (darwin-arm64) - Package for macOS ARM based Platform (M2, M3, ...). Tested on Sonoma 14.4.x on a M2 Max.
- FreeBSD AMD64 (fbsd-amd64) - Packages for FreeBSD. Tested on FreeBSD 13.x
- Unsupported Linux (ulx-...) - Package for Intel/AMD 32bit and 64bit CPUs with older glibc version. Will work on CentOS/RHEL 7. Ask us for support!
- Missing an architecture? Let us know and we will try to get it for you.
Additional Notes
The full functionality of our products is generally available for Linux and Solaris. Although all applications are part of macOS and FreeBSD packages, only client applications are currently supported. Support for service components is still in beta for these platforms. For more information please refer to the release notes for the version you wish to install.
